The WilmerHale investigation report on the Wolverines program has been revealed after dominating for the Michigan hockey team during the offseason.
On Tuesday the 12th of May, the journalist, and former University professor John U. Bacon revealed the details of the information he received.
He reported instances of bullying and harassment in the hockey program as well as support staffers and players being at those who were the recipients of the treatment
Although Bacon described his findings but the report's official version hasn't yet been made available to the public.
A number of incidents of harassment were documented by Bacon.
A former director of hockey operations Rick Bancroft, who quit at the end of June was alleged to have had a sexy relationship with an athletics secretary
Bacon asserts in the report the report states that Michigan head coach Mel Pearson did not act to end the harassment and allowed it to continue for many years.
Bacon added that investigators identified numerous instances of Pearson lying about the issues in the investigation.
The allegations about how Wolverines were persuaded by Pearson to lie about COVID-19 contact tracer data were mentioned, however, fewer details are available.
Michigan was forced to cancel the Fargo Regional semifinal game in 2021 due to negative COVID-19 test results.
With the findings of the report revealed, Michigan Athletics Director Warde Manuel must decide if Pearson should remain in the role of head coach.
The contract he signed was up the 1st of May and he's been the Wolverines the head coach with no contract ever since.
